Northern Pacific  locomotives 1529, 1049, 1098, 1070 and 1548 await their assignments around the turntable in this historic photograph.  NP 1070 was the last steam locomotive retired from regular service by the Northern Pacific and moved to the Lake Whatcom Railway to continue to operate in every decade of the twentieth century.
